Screenprint

For coverage, durability and weather-resistance, the ancient art of screen printing cannot be beat. Amherst Label specializes in the Screenprint business. We don’t do t-shirts or yard signs but we do offer custom screen printing of floor graphics, decals, machine plates, industrial warning labels to name a few.

Amherst Label is fortunate to have an ace printer named Mark Gendron who is a veritable jack-of-all trades but is master of one: Screen print. Mark has a background in prepress and is so adaptable that when we need coverage on our die-cutter in Digital, he steps up. Mark and Missy (our Finishing / Shipping lead person) are a dynamic duo in the Amherst Label family.

The 30-second video here shows the Screen print process after the films and screens are made—a painstaking process that hasn’t changed much in decades. Artwork is used to expose films which are processed and then used to burn an image into an emulsion-covered, framed screen. With his prepress experience, Mark is a natural at reviewing art and producing screens.
