Q&A with Sales Coordinator Jessica Ackerman

Jessica Ackerman poses with labels she had made at Amherst Label for her husband’s maple sugar business. The story.

Jessica says, “The most meaningful thing about my job is helping my customers.”

How would you describe your BACKGROUND?
I am a customer service professional. I have over 10 years of experience working with customers. I’m also a baker, with a professional certificate in Baking and Pastry from Lakes Region Community College.

What would SURPRISE people to realize about you?
I’m married and own a house. A lot of people are shocked when I tell them how young I am and how much I’ve accomplished.

What is the most delightful part of your life outside of work?
My husband and our dog and our spontaneous road trips. A couple of years ago, we decided to take a road trip. We both had about a week off, and I’ve always wanted to go to West Virginia and beyond (don’t ask me why) so off we went! Packed a few bags and told our families we were going. It was an amazing trip, we made it all the way to Ohio!

What is your usual work day like?
Responding to customers either via email or phone regarding quote requests, general inquiries, or purchase orders. Prepare purchase orders for entry into our system for production. Generate quote requests, help coworkers, and pretty much whatever else comes up. My day is never the same, which is nice.

What is the most meaningful thing about your job?
Helping my customers. I love hearing “you guys are the best, thank you!” Something as small as that can make your day.

  1. Good to know about the texture labels. Since we have Cannabis labels, along with beer & wine too, that should help turn some heads. Can I get some sample labels of the texture Etc. ??
    Thanks, Steve
