When Craig Michaud at RPM decided his company could switch from producing high-end salon products to sanitizer, he immediately called Amherst Label for labels. These are the times Amherst Label can be counted on to REALLY apply ourselves. NH’s ABC affiliate WMUR featured the story of our customer’s hand sanitizer production on March 20. Craig made sure Amherst Label received a generous jug of the CBD sanitizer. Our VP Nye Hornor and prepress supervisor Katie Putnam packaged and distributed the labeled “Sanitize-to-go” to our employees. We encouraged our team to keep the travel-size containers in their cars so they can sanitize after stopping for gas or groceries.
Since March 14, Amherst Label has been working to keep our employees and building healthy, going overboard to anticipate developments. The healthier we are, the more people we can help during this unprecedented time. For 42 years, Amherst Label has been on a mission to help our customers who in turn help others. As owner Nick Calvetti said, “This is the most difficult thing Amherst Label has had to handle in the history of the company. It seems like everyone is working together as a team and doing a remarkable job. I am really proud.”
CRITICAL SUPPLIER TO ESSENTIAL BUSINESSES
NH Governor Sununu’s “Stay at Home” order, effective March 27, specifically mandates the continuing operations of “Essential Businesses.” As a “critical supplier” to medical device companies, food, beverage (including water), nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals, Amherst Label is an essential business and will continue to operate.
