Q&A with Customer Service Manager Sherri Edwards

This spring, Sherri Edwards accepted a promotion to Manager of Customer Service after 27 years as an all-star CSR. Here are some fun facts about Sherri and how she feels about her work.

 

1) How would you describe your BACKGROUND?

I have been in the label industry for 40 years; I started in high school working part time in various departments. At 18, I graduated, got married and started working full time in Customer Service at a printing company.  I’ve been at Amherst Label for 27 years this coming May.

2) What would SURPRISE people to realize about you?  

I like to stay busy… I work part time jobs bartending. I’m also pretty handy around the house fixing things.

3) What is the most delightful part of your life OUTSIDE of work?
Spending time with my three beautiful daughters and grandchildren…. My family is my world.

4) What is your usual WORK DAY like?
Answering emails, phone calls, quoting, placing orders, problem solving. Every day is different, every day brings a new challenge.

5) What is the most meaningful thing about your job?
Helping my customers, making friends and working with family.

Amherst Label is fortunate to have two members of the Franklin family on our management team. Left, is Doug Franklin, Production Supervisor, Sherri’s brother, and Sherri, Customer Service Manager. Between them, they have nearly 50 years of experience at Amherst Label. Their mom retired after helping us with filing for many years. And Sherri’s daughter Nicki has also pitched in when our finishing department needs an extra pair of skillful hands.
